I read an older interview (metal hammer, metal edge, one of those sweet ‘90’s metal mags 🤘) with Kerry King(Slayer) who said when they first heard the AIC live, all of slayer stood backstage and couldn’t stop looking and listening to Layne. Said his skin was crawling all over. When you can blow away Slayer, you hit god status haha. Pretty cool to hear him say that though. If I can find the old interview I’ll post it.
Btw, I’m now all nostalgic for those mags! Found so much amazing music back in the day w those mags. I really miss finding new music that way. It was so exciting every month.
